After the Earthquake…

After the Earthquake…

After the Earthquake…

We are deeply saddened by the 7.7 magnitude earthquake that occurred at 04.17 in Pazarcık district of Kahramanmaraş province of our country on February 6 and the 7.6 magnitude earthquake that occurred in Elbistan district at 13.24. In Turkey, which is always at risk of earthquake and is an earthquake country, it is the duty of individuals as well as the state to be prepared for the earthquake that is certain to come. The first thing we can do as individuals is to prepare an earthquake kit.

What to Have in Your Earthquake Bag

One bottle of water per person per day.

Foods that last a long time and are easy to prepare

Flashlight, battery, whistle, walkie-talkie

Powerbank, charger

Cash, relatives’ information

Photocopies of documents such as address, house deed, rental contract, identity card

First aid kit (bandage, band-aid, cold compress, burn cloth, antiseptic solution, scissors, safety pin, bandage, artificial respiration mask, medications)

It should not be forgotten that all citizens in the earthquake region should receive psychological support without discrimination after the earthquake. At the same time, hospitals can be built in places that are least likely to be damaged in major earthquakes, and the necessity of having the equipment necessary for more reliable medical interventions in field hospitals to be ready in advance has emerged with these earthquakes.

Get well soon to our entire country. I wish you healthy days.
